Mentoring

In the past ten years, many high-school and undergraduate students have spent time at WRSLP for the purpose of (a) learning about the field of pediatric speech-language pathology and (b) fulfilling senior project, community service, and clinical observation requirements. They have toured our offices, met with staff, observed speech-language pathologists during evaluation and treatment sessions, and served as peer models during social communication therapy for older adolescents.

Several students who started out simply observing therapists at WRSLP ultimately became part-time clinical support staff.  Many of those individuals are currently completing undergraduate degrees, are in graduate school programs, or have already completed their degrees in speech-language pathology or audiology.  Administrative and clinical staff members at WRSLP enjoy mentoring students.  We invite interested individuals to contact us.
